New Art on Ebay!

Hi Ya'll!  I have just listed FOUR new angels on Ebay.  They are all beautiful.  The Largest one (35X15) is entitled "Peace, I leave with you".  She is absolutely stunning.  The photos are ever so slightly crooked (a photographer, I'm not), but the actual piece of art is spectacular!  Here's a sneak peek.  She is painted on a old door (priceless!)  Her wings are highly textured and have a pearl-glowing quality.  The timeless scripture "Peace, I leave with you. My peace I give you.  Not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled.  Neither let it be afraid."  is written on the front of the piece just above her large wing.  She has lots of texture and color.  I'll add more pics soon.  Thanks bunches!

No, I have not fallen off the face of the planet :)

But I have been busy remodeling my home and various and sundry other "fun" activities that have absolutely nothing to do with art. But I'm back in my studio now and soon the pitter patter of paint to canvas will result in beautiful pieces of whimsy. Please keep checking back. Thanks ya'll!

Fionna Louise - New Pics

Hi Ya'll. A photographer, I'm not. The previous pics of Fionna Louise were not very good. I wanted to capture all the rich colors and textures of the background. So, my dutiful assistant (husband) took these pics. And, while they are a little crooked (what can I say, at least he took the pictures!), he did manage to capture the rich colors(thank you, thank you).

So, Fionna Louise is still for sale through this blog for $140.00 plus shipping - UNTIL TUESDAY (September 8th) - then she goes on Ebay for bidding. So, if you're interested, please contact me by email asap -
Thanks bunches!

For Sale By Artist!

Hi Ya'll! I'm gonna try something new - selling from my blog. This is Fionna Louise. She is painted on a recycled wood plank and measures 49x11x3/4, acrylic paint, oil pastels, India ink, super great color and textured background, matte UV sealer. Her quote is by Richard Bach - "I pick the prettiest part of the sky and I melt into the wing and then into the air, till I'm just soul on a sunbeam." She is lovely and the pictures do not do her justice. She is $140.00 plus shipping charges (which include tracking number and insurance). Please contact me by email at if you are interested. Thanks bunches! Cindi

New Art - The Vigil!

This piece is entitled "The Vigil". A lovely mommy bird sits in vigil over her babies. A wonderful quote by Phyllis McGinley is on the back - “Life is the fruit she longs to hand you, Ripe on a plate. And while you live, Relentlessly she understands you.” And ain't that how all momma's are?!?!

This piece is painted on a vintage dresser drawer measuring 31 highx14 widex6 side depth; is full of texture including handmade and painted papers and a little bitty 3-dimensional bird nest made from straw and fibers. This pieces "escapes" over the sides, top and bottom of the dresser drawer. Please contact me if you are interested. Thanks bunches! Cindi

New Art - Coming Soon!

Hi Ya'll!
Whew! The kiddies are back in school and I finally have a few moments to think my own thoughts ;). I've been whipping up a batch or two of art in between canning homemade spaghetti sauce from the mounds of tomatoes my in-laws, Martha & Derek, gave me. By the way...they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary!

On the art front, I sold the first of my Itty Bitty Pieces Angel - appropriately named "Eunice" to a wonderful person who collects my art - Thanks bunches!

My Itty Bitty Pieces angels are so cute (if I do say so myself). I sculpted their little faces and then painted them. They are truly unique and one-of-a-kind. The "bodies" are made from vintage or unique glass bottles which are filled with ordinary everyday thingies - the bits and pieces of life. I've completed 3 more Itty Bitty Pieces Angels and they are named Edythe, Esther & Edwina.

Also I have 3 new birdie paintings. And, I've painted a beautiful angel on a box- which can be used to hold prayers and wishes. The box is cool - it can be hung on the wall or placed on a table. I also have a large angel that will be ready real soon. So, hold tight - pics are coming.........

Introducing.....Itty Bitty Pieces Art Angels!

Hi Ya'll! This here is an “Itty-Bitty Pieces” Art Angel. She has a hand sculpted and painted face. Her body is made from a unique (sometimes vintage or antique) glass bottle filled with “bits and pieces”, “scraps” or “discards” of life. She measures 10 inches high and 8 inches on the wing span.

My inspiration came from a little quote by Leonard Cohen –
“Ring the bells that still can ring;
Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack in everything!
That’s how The Light gets in.”

There have been so many times when God took the cracked bits, pieces and scraps of my life and turned them into beauty by His Grace. This angel reminds me that insignificant and imperfect itty-bitty pieces allow The Light in. Please contact me for purchase information.

Thanks bunches!
